Humorous effect features in the intercultural communication

In the present article the authors examine lexical tools for comic effect on numerous examples. Undoubtedly, language is capable to represent cultural-national mentality of its native speakers. The aspiration to understand other culture clearly is shown in wit, in national colored humor. The ability to perceive the comic party of language is a component of the general language and speech culture. Without understanding the comic opportunities which are put in language, speaking this language not only impoverishes the linguistic stock, but also significantly reduces the communicative potential and national culture idea.
