Conceptual points of St. Petersburg theological academy’s logico-gnoseological school in the XIX - early XX centuries (the works of F. F. Sidonskiy and V. N. Karpov)

The article deals with the works of Russian thinkers, engaged in research and teaching activities in St. Petersburg Theological Academy in the XIX - early XX century. According to the author, we can state the existence of a unique logico-gnoseological school in this institution, representatives of which was deeply involved in the research concerning the issues of cognition - from the consistent criticism of the existing teachings to the rethinking of logical and epistemological axioms. The author attempts to show the origins of this logico-gnoseological school reviewing the ideas of its first representatives - Fyodor Sidonskiy and Vasiliy Karpov.
