Peculiarities of peasant self-management in pre-revolutionary Russia (middle XIX — early XX centuries)

The article reveals the basic principles of people government in local level management. It also describes the duties of elective officials of peasant community self-management while carrying out the first reforms in the field of local self-government from the middle XIX up to the beginning of XX centuries.
