The article examines promising directions for the development of the Northern Sea Route, taking into account sanctions restrictions, changing climatic conditions, and other factors. Based on an analysis of various sources of information related to the research topic, selected by keywords, it demonstrates its relevance. The current state of infrastructure, equipment necessary for safe and efficient transportation, as well as state and international regulatory standards are analyzed. Additionally, the main opportunities for utilizing the Northern Sea route and its potential for development are discussed. The primary aim of this study is to perform a thorough examination of the geographical, infrastructure, and legal facets of the subject, focusing on finding solutions to the issues at hand. To uncover the significance and key elements of the study, this article employs techniques such as in-depth analysis of textual and numerical data, comparison of information, algorithmic approaches, and exploration of interdisciplinary connections. This research systematically compares the Northern Sea Route with traditional logistics routes in order to estimate the associated costs of operating this Arctic route, and outlines the main conclusions regarding the prospects of further development based on the conducted analysis.
