Peculiarities of the memoir genre in mathematics (the second half of XX century)

The article concentrates on the specifics of memoirs genre as a form of scientific reflection on the example of Russian mathematics research community (second half of XX century). It classifies memoirs in science and studies the characteristics of each type of the given discourse. The author reveals the role of memoirs in science and the relevance of their analysis and suggests further research.
