In article teaching of a course "Probability theory and mathematical statistics" for the direction of a bachelor degree "Sociology" is described. The main problem is that students of Humanitarian Faculties, in particular sociologists, do not see need for mathematics studying. Nevertheless the mathematical statistics increasingly gets today into sociology and statistical knowledge are necessary to students for further training.
