Features of the mythological complex of Adyghe

This article is devoted to the features of Adyghe mythology from the point of view of the main motifs, plots, archetypes. The Adygs have a very complex age-old ethnogenesis, they have experienced many influences from the non-Caucasian peoples, including the Iranian-speaking Scythians and Sarmatians. Due to the peculiarities of the historical path, traditions, mentality, geolocation, the Adygs formed a complex and diverse mythological complex over time, the relevance of which is connected with the need for further scientific study of the features of the Caucasian peoples, the modern policy of multiculturalism and mutual enrichment of ethnic groups, preservation and revival of their authentic heritage.
