Mineral metabolism in people engaged in metal forging industry

We analyzed nutritional status, risk factors for osteoporosis, and bone mineral density (using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) in individuals engaged in metal forging industry. We found that these people have decreased bone mineral density, which can lead to occupational diseases and requires the implementation of therapeutic and preventive measures.
