Specifics of youth parliamentarism in the Republic of Dagestan

The article considers the specifics of youth parliamentarism in Dagestan as a form of political participation of young people. The author points out the high importance of youth policy and youth political participation in Dagestan, where one third of the population are young citizens under 35 years. The author analyzes activity and political role of the youth parliament under the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan. The article outlines the main problems that impede the development of political participation of Dagestan youth. The key ones are indifference towards politics and low political literacy of the majority of young citizens of the republic.
