English language IT-slang as a linguocultural phenomenon

The phenomenon of IT slang in the English language as a dynamically evolving system closely connected to the professional culture of developers is examined in the article. The historical foundations of IT vocabulary formation, its sources and development features are also described. We analyze the mechanisms of borrowing and adapting English terms in other languages, as well as the influence of cultural context on the formation and usage of slang. Special attention is given to the role of IT slang in international communication and its significance for non-native English-speaking professionals.
