Specifics of normative consolidation of higher courts’ authority in the contemporary criminal procedure laws of Russia

The article defines content of the higher courts’ powers and specifics of their legislative consolidation in the current Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. It is educed that the allocation of powers in the system of rights and duties of a higher courts has a conditional nature. Basing on analysis of the Criminal Procedure Code’s norms the author suggests to include some regulations consolidating the authority of appellate and reviewing courts.
