Peculiarities of providing the safety of victims and witnesses in criminal proceedings

This scientific article is devoted to the peculiarities of ensuring the safety of victims and witnesses in the criminal proceedings of the Russian Federation. The paper considers the main security measures for participants in criminal proceedings. The foreign experience is given on the example of such countries as Germany and Great Britain in ensuring the safety of witnesses and victims in criminal cases. Actual examples are given proving that protection is an important guarantee of security for participants in criminal proceedings.
