The study looked at a synthetic technique for analyzing the law by a well-known historian, lawyer P.G. Vinogradov, who proposed a holistic approach to law at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries. P.G. Vinogradov substantiated the objective relationship between law and morality, focused on the social nature of law, and, accordingly, the uniform principles of social regulators. The study discussed the significance of the addressees of legal rules and their psychological acceptance of the standards of conduct established by society in the works of P.G. Vinogradov. He made a great contribution to the creation of a synthetic approach to law, attempted to present a holistic view on law, and revealed the advantages and disadvantages of the dominant positivist method. Besides, P.G. Vinogradov played an important role in the methodological development of an integrative approach to law. It proves the fact that his legacy is of particular relevance to modern theorists and philosophers of law.
