Specific features of evidence evaluation in court proceedings with the participation of juried meetings

The article is devoted to the analysis of the problems arising in the assessment of evidence by the jury during the trial and when they pass a verdict. The conceptual approaches to defining the role of the jury in the assessment of evidence are considered. An assessment of the position of proceduralists on the issue under study is given. It is concluded that the jury, not being professional lawyers, evaluate evidence from the point of view of relevance and reliability, the totality of evidence from the point of view of sufficiency.
