Features on the age classification evaluating audiovisual production ranking in the Russian Federation as an important element of state regulation mechanism

The article discusses the features of assessment for age classification of audiovisualrating in Russia, as an important element in the mechanism of state regulationof cinematography. The author analyzes the domestic and foreign experience inregulating the activities of organizations of film production, film distribution andfilm exhibition with the aim of protecting children from information harmful to theirhealth and development. It gives recommendations for the development of measuresto improve the existing system of mandatory state classification age restrictions onaudiovisual production. It highlights the role of the state support, but in terms ofprohibitive measures used today in the field of state regulation, it becomes difficultto perform the educational function of the parents. It is proposed to involve theassignment of a rating advanced independent commission, composed of experts,directly related to all components of the production and distribution of audiovisualproducts.
