Peculiarities of homonymy in the modern English language (based on Concise Oxford English Dictionary)

The article deals with the peculiarities of homonymy in the modern English language based on the dictionaries. According to the classification of Yu.S. Maslov, there are revealed the groups of the lexical and lexical and grammar homonyms with the further division to the subgroups. There is given the statistics of the percentage-based relationships of groups, subgroups and the part-of-speech belonging of the homonyms of different groups.
