Features of the department’s activities organization: from university strategy to operational work plan

The development of any organization is impossible without competent management and correct planning, which must be built along a vector: from the mission as the general direction of activity to annual plans that determine the work of individual structural units. The purpose of this article is to identify the most relevant planning elements for improving the work of a university department. To do this, we used the method of analyzing scientific literature, classification, and synthesis. The work identifies and describes such planning elements as the mission, policy, vision of the educational organization, its values, quality goals, development programs, key performance indicators. Each of them is described in detail, examples of their application to the activities of the department of a medical university are given.
