Peculiarities of organization and activity of state noble land bank in the territory of the Middle Volga region in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries

The article analyzes the Noble land Bank activity on the territory of the Middle Volga in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Considered the formation of the system of state mortgage loan, examines the features of functioning of the credit institution, and also noted the patronizing nature of the authorities in relation to the Bank. Analyzing the dynamics of major transactions by the Bank on the territory of the provinces of the study region, there have been considerable fluctuations in the volume of loans that was not due to a lack of need of credit, and the causes of the socio-political nature. The article rightly argues that the State Noble land Bank took a leading place among all credit institutions operating in the land market of the Middle Volga region significantly exceeding its nominal competitors.
