Pathomorphological picture of the changes in the organs and tissues of dead calves with septic form of pasteurellosis was studied, pathological anatomical changes typical for underlying disease and the manifestations of infection in young cattle were established. The objects of the study were the corpses of the calves aged from 6 to 9.5 months who died from septic (edematous) form of pasteurellosis. The animals were kept in one of the farms located in the territory of Krasnoyarsk Region. During the study the sampling of the material for histological examination was carried out - the pieces of altered organs and tissues, the sections were made on a Technom MZP-01 microtome, and stained with Ehrlich hematoxylin and eosin. To conduct differential diagnosis pathological material was sent to the laboratory; in all the cases of the study, the causative agent of pasteurellosis, P. multocida strains, was detected. Pathognomonic changes in septic form of pasteurellosis have been established in the form of the combination of extensive serous-inflammatory edema of the subcutaneous and intramuscular tissue with acute lobar serous-catarrhal, with hemorrhagic accent pneumonia and acute catarrhal-hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, accompanied by acute serous inflammation of the lymph nodes with regional inflammatory lesions hyperplastic changes in the spleen against the background of pronounced general septic phenomena. In the calves of older age group the foci of necrosis in the liver were found. The peculiarities of pathomorphological picture of pasteurellosis in calves were revealed in the form of insignificant intensity of the manifestation of hemorrhagic diathesis, the absence of signs of lobar pneumonia, as well as simultaneous combination of changes characteristic of both edematous and intestinal clinical and anatomical forms of pasteurellosis.
