Features of pedagogical model of professional competency development in listeners of training centers of Russian penal system

Characteristic features of training competitive employees for the criminal and executive system of Russia are considered. The purpose of training is to prepare specialists able to meet the requirements of contemporary society and to ensure effective activity of administrative bodies of penitentiary service. The training of listeners is carried out based on the traditional model of teaching and has an educationally thematic character. Introduction of interactive methods of teaching such as role-playing does not change the system of professional education drastically, nevertheless, its effectiveness in the process of training specialists for the penitentiary system can not be argued. Therefore, a qualitative change in the process of educating penitentiary system specialists is needed. The changes should result in a more effective organization of the pedagogical process. The level of pedagogical process effectiveness is a reflection of the employees' level of professional competency. The authors of the article introduce a new tested model of teaching instrumental in professional competency development in listeners of training centers belonging to Russian penal system.
