Features of movement of timber materials: status and problems

Since the beginning of the special military operation, new rules for the circulation of wood have been introduced. The article discusses the prohibitions and restrictions on the export of timber from Russia. The analysis of timber exports carried out in the article under the conditions of sanctions showed a decrease in the production of timber. The decline is expected to continue in 2023. Also, the market is threatened not only by a fall, but also by overstocking, both with timber and processed products. The solution of this problem is considered by the authors as an opportunity to develop the domestic market through construction. At present, all kinds of housing construction technologies have been developed, various tools are being provided, primarily financial ones: ensuring affordable prices for materials, lowering mortgage rates, developing a market for loans and subsidies, etc., which can be a solution to this problem.
