Features of figurative meanings of adjectives of color in Chinese and Russian

The purpose of this stage of the study is to comprehend the ways of metaphorical and metaphorical transfer in Chinese and Russian. The object of the study is the method of transferring the meaning of adjectives of color. The subject of this stage of research is the fundamental separation of metaphorical and metonymic methods of transfer. The article analyzes the dictionary entries of explanatory dictionaries of Russian and Chinese languages in the attached colors. It is revealed that the peculiarity of metonymic transfer is that the derived value is always included in the structure of the main value as a potential seme. Based on the materials of explanatory dictionaries in the framework of The article, it was possible to analyze the figurative meanings of adjectives of the color «blue», «red», «black», «white». The results of the analysis of the figurative meanings of the adjective «blue» showed that in the Russian language consciousness such a basis of transference as color metonymy prevails, and not similarity in color, which indicates situational thinking.
