Features of translation of geographical terms into English

Based on the translation of geographical terms into English, the article shows that for a successful translation it is necessary not only to know English, but also to take into account knowledge from the field of other sciences. To translate special texts, the translator needs in-depth subject knowledge and understanding of the terminology of the relevant science. It was emphasized that usually the translation of geographical terms into English is carried out from the Russian-language term. That is, the equivalent of the Uzbek geographical term in Russian is first found, then translated into English. In the process of translation of special terms, a number of difficulties and features specific to the language of geographical science are revealed.
