Features of translation of expressive language units from English into Russian

This article is devoted to the study of the features of translation of expressive language units from English into Russian. The article examines various types of expressive units, such as idioms, phraseological units, metaphors, and figurative comparisons, and analyzes the difficulties encountered in their translation. Based on theoretical works on translation studies and linguistics, the author proposes a classification of translation strategies applicable to these units and provides examples of successful and unsuccessful translation solutions. The study aims to improve the quality of translation and to develop the professional skills of translators.
