The study focuses on the subtleties and features of the translation of texts from mass media, such as films, newspaper headlines and advertising slogans. The paper substantiates the relevance and significance of the research. The purpose of the study is to identify the key features and principles that ensure successful translation of media texts, with an emphasis on the specifics of each genre. The main objectives of the research include the analysis of practical examples of translation, the study of theoretical foundations and approaches to translation, as well as the definition of criteria for the success of translation in each specific case. It is argued that the translation of media texts often involves unique difficulties due to the peculiarities of the language. This makes it a difficult task, requiring the translator not only to have an impeccable command of languages, but also to have a deep understanding of cultural and contextual nuances. In this paper, we will take a detailed look at the key aspects of the translation process from Russian to English and from English to Russian, paying special attention to cultural differences, adaptation, creativity, and language interaction.
