The article discusses the features of the selection of additional literature for teaching a little-spoken language - Serbian to students of linguistic specialties as a second or third foreign language at the initial stages of education. The article provides general recommendations on the selection of additional materials for the study of second and third foreign languages, as well as offers publications in Serbian that can be used as materials for additional reading.
