Characteristic features of oxygen use and consumption by body tissues in patients suffering from coronary disease during magnetic storm days and their dependence upon psychosomatic status

A group of patients (n = 640 ± 11) and healthy males (n = 485 ± 6) was divided into subgroups according to their temperament: choleric (CH), sanguinic (SG), phlegmatic (PH), and melancholic (M) temperament with high (HA) and low (LA) anxiety level. Low level of depression was revealed in HA/Ph and in M participants of the study. Peculiarities of psychosomatic status (P-PSS) were defined as SNS prevalence in Ch and Sg and PSNS in Ph and M only. The level of cortisole accumulation in blood was higher in Ch and Sg than in Ph and M; the level of aldosterone in the correlated groups of studied participants was lower. We determined the minute volume of blood circulation (MVBC), minute volume of breath (MVB), level of oxygen consumption (CO 2), coefficient of oxygen utilization (KUO 2), and TOLU. We used AAT process with correction and without correction considering peculiarity PSS. Adherents to AAT were insufficient. Data were taken during 7 days starting from the first day of the MS including the 7 th day of MS. Marked elevation of γ-phone medium was registered during MS days; essential reduction in TOLU, KUO2 was noted. Elevation of MVBC, MVB, CO 2 and increasing number of heartaches were registered in Ch on the second day of MS day, in SG on the first day of MS, in Ph and M on the 3-4 day, and on the 5-6 day in HA-men. HA/Ph and M belong to a high risk group of patients/participants. Conducted antiangina therapy led to increased consumption of oxygen by body tissues in males suffering from coronary disease as well as in healthy men with high level of anxiety and same temperaments.
