Features of legal regulation of mortgage lending for certain social groups in Russia, Great Britain and the French Republic

This article describes mechanisms of legal regulation of mortgage lending, such as the provision of preferential conditions to certain social groups of mortgage borrowers in Russia, the United Kingdom and the French Republic, as well as the institution of «mortgage holidays», or a grace period provided to the debtor during which it is possible to reduce or suspend payments on a mortgage loan. The article contains information about conditions for granting these benefits. It was made a conclusion about the mechanism for implementing these benefits in the legislation of the above-mentioned States. It was also noted that the legal mechanisms of protection of certain social groups of mortgage borrowers discussed in the article are practically in no way inferior to similar legal mechanisms of protection that are implemented in developed legal systems.
