Features of the legal status of self-employed citizens

The article examines the peculiarities of the legal status of self-employed citizens, the trends of the growth of the number of self-employed in Russia, social guarantees from the state, as well as the differences between the "self-employed" and "individual entrepreneurs". The article highlights such problems as an insufficiently improved legislative system regulating the legal status of the self-employed, as well as the reluctance of many citizens engaged in professional activities to register as self-employed.
