Features of the legal settlement of Russian-Japanese relations in the 1850s

This article is devoted to the specifics of the establishment of Russian-Japanese relations in the 1850s, and their legal regulation. The methodological basis of the article is general scientific and special (historical-legal, etc.) research methods. The article reveals the peculiarities of the preparation of international treaties in the period under review, the factors influencing law making. Special attention is paid to the role of E.V. Putyatin in the signing Russian-Japanese agreements in the middle 19th century.
