Features of teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university

This article describes the features of teaching a foreign language in a technical university, namely the main problems and ways to solve them. First of all, the author focuses on the fact that very few hours are allocated to the discipline "Foreign language" in non-linguistic universities. He further points out that applicants have a very low level of foreign language proficiency when entering the university, thereby complicating the work of the teacher. The author also notes that a huge role in the development of a foreign language is played by the motivation of students, which undoubtedly needs to be improved. In conclusion, the author of the article suggests some ways to solve the problems associated with teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university.
