Features of teaching Spanish as a second foreign language at a university in the context of the competent development

The article discusses the features of Spanish language teaching in higher education in the light of the implementation of a competent approach. The role and importance of the formation of complex competence system in the study of Spanish as a second foreign language at a university in current conditions was revealed, the possibilities of their differentiation were analyzed, correlations of the development of certain competencies and emerging problems among graduates during the teaching process and after graduation were revealed. The authors concluded that Spanish as the second foreign language at the university should be taught in the integration of competent, communicative-activity and metalinguistic and intercultural approaches to the formation of the competencies of future graduates.
