The article examines the specifics of the use of innovative building materials in Afghanistan, including their impact on the sustainability of buildings and the environmental situation. The climatic, social and economic factors determining the choice of construction technologies are analyzed. The advantages of using materials with high energy efficiency and resistance to extreme conditions are described. Additionally, geopolymer and basalt composites, SIP panels with phase-changing inserts, foam glass from glass waste and bamboo composite were studied in detail. Recommendations on the implementation of innovative approaches in the construction industry of the country are proposed. The research is aimed at developing practical solutions to improve the quality and durability of buildings.
