Бесплатный доступ

In the rapid pace of modern technology, the capabilities of investi-gators are expanding, thereby enhancing the status of law enforcement as a law and order enforcer. The relevance of using non–traditional methods of assessing crimi-nally significant information (the use of polygraphic studies) is currently ensured by the extensive practice of using modern devices both in Russia and abroad. Purpose: to analyse the practical experience of using a polygraph, identify problems with its use during a preliminary investigation, identify imperfections in the regula-tory legal legislation governing the use of a polygraph in the investigation of a crime, in particular in the conduct of investigative actions and operational investigative measures, substantiate the positive results of psychophysiological studies using a polygraph. Methods: empirical methods of comparison, description, interpretation; private scientific methods: legal–dogmatic and interpretation of legal norms. The results of the study: the positive and negative sides of using a polygraph during the preliminary investigation are revealed.
