Features of the use of forensic examinations in the investigation of terrorist crimes related to hostage-taking

This article examines the role of forensic examinations in the disclosure of terrorist crimes related to hostage-taking, as well as various factors that may affect the procedures and results of the examination. In this article, on the basis of scientific literature, materials of practice, the question of the specifics of conducting a forensic examination in the investigation of the crime of hostage-taking in the commission of a terrorist attack is considered. It is proposed to identify various factors affecting the conduct of forensic examination in the investigation of a terrorist act related to hostage-taking.
