The authors have studied the characteristics of production and reception of IL2 at different variants of diabetes (Type 1, 2, and latent autoimmune diabetes of adults (LADA). The clinical models in the early stages of the disease are used to clarify the effect of IL2 and its receptor on the vector and speed development of cellmediated cytotoxic reactions and loss insulin producing tissue in patients with autoimmune diabetes. It had been demonstrated that the effects of IL2 in patients with autoimmune diabetes are predominant in the speed limit of cytotoxic cellular reactions in the islets of Langerhans, preservation of endogenous insulin secretion in LADA, and these effects of IL2 are realized by modulating the number and subpopulation composition of Tlymphocyte helpers.
