Features of the project activity in older adolescents in the formation of universal educational actions

Project activities as a system of various practical actions of the individual (group, collective), aimed at creating a certain creative product, deepens the academic motivation of students, and promotes self-organization, development of personality, professional self-determination of schoolchildren. Implementation of project activities in the formation of universal educational actions of older teenagers will be more effective and natural if it occurs on the basis of psycho-pedagogical features of the project activities. The distinguishing feature of this age period is the desire for evaluation of their own strengths and weaknesses, which contributes to the rethinking of beliefs and attitudes. Orientation to PD involves the development of process improvement, one of the mechanisms which are selfesteem. In this regard, in the article the author had shown the problem of theoretical comprehension of the peculiarities of the project activities of older adolescents. The article highlights factors influencing the effectiveness of project activity in older adolescents, such as the presence of the earlier project experience, the development of self, the increase in the share of independent work in the learning process. Defines the role of PD in the development of mental abilities and cognitive processes of the older teenager. The implementation of projects is closely connected with the study of additional literature, participation in electives, with expert advice. All this contributes to the formation of abstract thinking, logical memory, and involuntary attention.
