One of main factors of specialists eff ective professional development is the formation in them professionally meaningful personal qualities in the process of professional preparedness. The content of the system of professionally meaningful personal qualities is determined by professional activity peculiarities. The content of professional activity of a physical education teacher and a coach diff er in some ways. These diff erences are determined by the essence of processes of physical education and sport preparedness. These peculiarities refer to the measure of obligatoriness/ voluntarism of practicing physical education/sport; pedagogical aims, tasks and principles of physical upbringing/sport training; the content of professional functions and other conceptual characteristics of learningeducational/ learning-training process.
