Features of students' empathy in different specialties of a technical university

This article is devoted to the urgent problem of empathy among students. The authors consider the features of the development and manifestation of empathy among students of a technical university. The focus of modern youth on the realization of personal ambitions, the desire for career success, the constant use of gadgets - all this reduces their self-worth of real communication. The article presents the results of an empirical study to identify empathic tendencies of students in different specialties of training at a technical university. Not only the general level of empathy of students is determined, but also the development of various components of this phenomenon: rational, emotional, intuitive channels; attitudes that promote or inhibit the development of empathy. Levels and prevailing channels of student empathy are identified. Relationships between the level of development of empathic abilities and the channel of empathy are established.
