Features of the prosecutor's supervision over the implementation of legislation on countering extremist activity in the Russian Federation

the article discusses the specific features of prosecutorial supervision over the implementation of legislation on countering extremist activity, defining the features of the formation of methods of prosecutorial inspections in this area, in particular the subject and objects of prosecutorial supervision, issues to be clarified during the prosecutor’s inspection, typical violations of legislation on countering extremist activity, acts of prosecutorial response used in identifying violations of anti-extremist legislation, as well as prevention of extremist offenses, elimination of the causes and conditions of their commission. materials and methods: the normative basis of the study is formed by the constitution of the russian federation, criminal and criminal procedure legislation, administrative legislation in terms of countering extremist activity, other federal laws and subordinate regulatory legal acts, departmental regulatory legal acts that form the legal basis for prosecutorial supervision of the implementation of laws in the field of countering extremism in the russian federation. the methodological basis of the study was the general dialectical method of scientific cognition, logical methods: deduction, induction, cognitive methods and techniques of observation, comparison, analysis, generalization and description; private scientific methods: formal legal, comparative legal and special scientific methods: statistical, cybernetic, content analysis method. the results of the study: they made it possible to clarify certain provisions related to the prosecutor’s supervision of the execution of laws on countering extremist activity, to determine the content and practical significance of prosecutor’s inspections in this area, to reveal the role of prosecutors in preventing, combating and minimizing (eliminating) the consequences of extremist offenses in the russian federation, to establish ways of interdepartmental interaction in the field of countering extremism. findings and conclusions: the analyzed normative legal acts, materials of judicial and prosecutorial practice, the subject and objects of prosecutorial supervision in the field under consideration, scientific works and other sources in their interrelation allowed to reveal the features of prosecutorial supervision over the implementation of legislation on countering extremist activity as one of the significant areas of prosecutorial activity in the russian federation. the author also suggests ways to improve the legislation on administrative offenses in the russian federation in terms of countering the financing of extremism.
