The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the work on memorizing the spelling of vocabulary words in speech therapy classes by students with violations of reading and writing. The work on memorizing vocabulary words has a special role in working with children with impaired reading and writing. However, the use of classical methods of memorization is not always effective with this category of students. This article discusses several effective methods that give good results in memorizing the spelling of vocabulary words by students with speech problems.
