Features of the investigation of home thefts committed in rural areas of the Russian Federation: the main results of the monographic research

In the article, the author offers the results of studying the factors that determine criminal behavior when committing theft in rural areas and law enforcement activities to investigate them. The essence and content of the criminalistic characteristics of home thefts in rural areas are determined as a basic element of a private investigation methodology, on the basis of which typical investigative situations developing at the initial and subsequent stages of the investigation of this category of criminal cases are identified. Based on the conducted research, the author proposed the grounds for distinguishing the circumstances to be proved and established, as well as a mechanism for effective interaction between the investigator and the body of inquiry in the detection and investigation of home thefts committed in rural areas. Special attention is paid to the specifics of the production of individual investigative actions and other measures, the use of special knowledge at various stages of the investigation of home thefts in rural areas.
