The article is devoted to the history of Soviet architecture of the first postwar decades. The article deals with the recovery in the postwar years, buildings in the historic centre of the city, and construction dictated by the General plan of 1948 According to the Plan, after the war began the restoration of the old quarters of the city. When their task was not only their decompression, but the new construction on the site of some of the lost buildings. The main areas of development of the city were the South, southwest, Southeast, and East. It is in these areas begins construction of new buildings multi-storey residential building and facilities for public use, which are the objects of my article.
