The relevance of this article is driven by the sustained attention of the expert community and the general public to the issues faced by racial minorities in various countries. This article seeks to ascertain the un-derlying causes for the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement in the United Kingdom, as well as the significant societal changes that transpired during and following the acts of civil disobedience against state power. Thus, there is a need to identify the reasons for the support of this protest force in this country and the impact it has had on the political decision-making process. The article demonstrates how the Black Lives Matter movement, represented by two prominent organizations, has not only influenced the racial discourse in the United Kingdom but has also prompted the government to adopt new measures aimed at supporting minority groups.
