Features of development of domestic automotive production under sanctions

The development of domestic production today is taking place under the conditions of sanctions imposed on us by foreign countries. Before the sanctions, the lion’s share of the domestic auto industry that we drove was delivered to us from abroad, mainly from European countries (since it was not always logistically feasible to deliver cars from Japan and the USA). However, some specialized cars were also delivered to us from the USA. For example, various trucks, special equipment (including construction equipment). Today, when we have been under sanctions for two years, Russia is forced to think about providing itself with cars. Since the existing ones break down, there are no spare parts, and “gray imports” are not able to satisfy the demands of a multi-million state, which Russia is. At the same time, it must be understood that during the time of import (or use of cars assembled in Russia) in large quantities from foreign countries, we actually lost our own production. The most we had was a few automobile clusters where foreign cars were assembled. In the article, we will consider the problems that have become obvious today due to the cessation of import of foreign cars into the country. The time period from 2022 to the present will be considered, state Strategies in the field of automobile production will be analyzed. Also, we will try to analyze the dependence of increasing the supply of Chinese products to our market and the possible development of the domestic auto industry.
