Features of the development of podcasting in Russia

The article discusses the specifics of modern Russian podcasting. The format varieties of podcasts, their typological and genre-thematic features, the main models of monetization of audio content are explored. The object of the study was streaming platforms and services, sources of statistical information, scientific publications devoted to the study of podcasts. The conclusion is made about the further expansion of the Russian podcast industry, and the main trends in the development of this segment of the media market are formulated.
