Ural macroregion: the industrial tourism development features

In modern conditions of repositioning of domestic tourism, it is industrial tourism that belongs to the niche and promising direction the tourism and recreational complex of the Russian Federation. Within the framework of solving the priority tasks of economic development of the Ural macroregion, industrial tourism contributes to the formation of a sustainable brand of territories, due to the specifics of the active formation of industrial potential in the Urals since the beginning of the XVIII century. The rapid development of industry during the industrialization of the XX century made it possible to consolidate a well–known slogan for the Urals, which later became a business card: the Urals is the supporting edge of the state. And in the existing conditions of innovative development of modern industrial enterprises, as well as preserved historical objects of industrial heritage, it is possible to note the increased interest of the general population of the country in the historical industrial past and technological innovations, the influx of business tourists and travelers from all over the world to the region. Along with this, industrial tourism acts as a marketing communications tool for each individual enterprise to broadcast its achievements to the external environment and maintain the brand of the enterprise. There are up to 14.2 thousand large and medium-sized industrial enterprises on the territory of the Ural region. The branding of the industrial Ural macroregion is a key factor in the activation of industrial tourism and adjacent types of tourism (business, congress and exhibition, family, adventure, cultural, environmental) and contributes to the formation of a multiplicative effect for the development of the Ural macroregion, determined by a complex of marketing, image, economic, social, resource and environmental indicators and a cluster approach, based on the specifics technological process of individual industrial enterprises.
