Features of the development of mental processes in older preschool children with speech disorders

The article discusses the scientific aspect of the development of higher mental processes in older preschool children with speech disorders. The analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature allowed us to establish that children with an erased form of dysarthria suffer from arbitrary attention, which is expressed in impulsivity, dispersion when performing tasks; children have difficulty remembering information; preschoolers have a low level of formation of some mental operations; stereotyping prevails in games and drawings; there may be emotional anxiety or, conversely, lethargy and passivity; violations in the coordination of behavior; children do not have a fully formed motor sphere. It is obvious that the described features must be taken into account in the process of organizing the correctional and developmental process in groups of a compensating type.
