Features of implementing the concept of green economy in Russia

The paper considers the features of Russia's transition to a green economy with regard to traditional hydrocarbon energy, which occupies a leading position in the economy of this country. The environmental problem is crucial for the survival of humankind. At the global level, the need to achieve sustainable development within the green economy concept is increasingly recognized. However, the specific nature of the economic situation in the developed and developing countries does not allow creating a unified set of measures for the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies for environmental management. Russia, following the way of the export-raw material model of economic development, needs transformation and modernization of the economy, innovative growth and energy-efficient policy. In this regard, it is advisable to consider the specific features of implementing the concept of green economy in Russia, analyze the problems and identify the necessary actions to eliminate them.
