Global, national and regional challenges determine the need for significant modernization of the industrial enterprise’s development program. The use of the principles of production management in an enterprise requires considering the action of many factors of the internal and external environment of an industrial enterprise. The basic principles of production management in an industrial enterprise are formed by five principles: scientific organization of work, goal setting, consistency, functional specialization and integration. At the same time, each of the basic principles of production management is correlated with each other, forming a unity of the system of basic principles of production management. In the new conditions of production and economic activity, which are characterized by a high degree of uncertainty in the markets of raw materials and sales of products, increasing the level of manufacturability and import substitution of production, the implementation of the concept of green production, etc. The existing principles of production management can be supplemented by other principles that meet the modern challenges of the time - additional and promising. Among them, in our opinion, we can highlight the principles of environmental friendliness, digitalization, rapid response, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement. Measures to ensure technological sovereignty in the context of the organization of production must meet several criteria. In this regard, within the framework of the study, the criteria for assessing technological independence applicable to production systems are systematized: localization, diversification, efficiency, quality, international cooperation, innovation, and the availability of rights to the results of intellectual activity. As a result of combining the above directions and criteria, a systematic approach to the diagnosis of production processes is proposed. In the current operating conditions, a modern industrial enterprise is focused not only on increasing market share, improving the quality and competitiveness of high-tech products, but also participating in the creation of competitive domestic technologies.
